Live video and audio platform: Dyte raises $11.6M in seed capital via Unbound, others


Dyte, the live video and audio platform has raised $11.6 million in seed funding led by Unbound, Nexus Venture Partners and Sequoia Capital India’s Surge. To expand their product and engineering team, and focus on international hires while building for a global market the funding will be used.

In order to integrate live video into their apps to support innovative & interesting business use-cases, it is allowed by product and engineering teams. The SDK is simple, integration is offered within hours, and has a large number of configurations and plug-ins.

These configurations provide developers with AI video augmentation, a quick and efficient way in order to embed audio and video calling, and with just a few clicks of collaboration features instead of needing complex code.

Users can easily add live video into their platform for 1:1 calls, group calls or webinars, with Dyte’s SDK. Using Dyte’s wide array of layouts and permissions, developers have the freedom to customise their video calling experience with no coding required. Millions of minutes of live video calls is facilitated by Dyte each month currently.

EdTech and gaming platforms, Telemedicine apps, and customer-support teams is also catered by Dyte. Based on user minutes – calculated as the number of users on a video call multiplied by the number of minutes each user was on the call, Dyte’s pricing has been designed to be simple, user-friendly and purely. 

Plugins to make video calls more engaging as well as to enhance the user experience to be more immersive and collaborative has also been offered by Dyte. Along with Youtube and Google docs, the current set of plugins include whiteboarding apps such as Miro and Whiteboard. A one-of-a-kind remote browser is also provided by it, which allows multiple users so as to browse the web in sync while on a video call.
