Microsoft released a new version of the open source PowerToys program this week. PowerToys 0.53.1 introduces PowerToys Run’s new always-on feature and a new web search plugin. You can download the latest version of PowerToys from the project’s official GitHub repository. Still, you need a desktop runtime with Windows 10 version 1903 or later or Windows 11 and .NET Core 3.1.22 or later. The installer handles run-time requirements if it is not already installed on the target system.
The latest version of PowerToys adds a new keyboard shortcut to the tool collection to display a window at the top. Simply use the WindowsCtrlT key combination to change the status of the active window to the above.
The window remains fully visible even if it ceases to be the active window or is moved to an area occupied by another window. Performing the key combination again will reset the window state to its normal state.

PowerToys adds a blue border to the window to indicate that the window is at the top. It is possible to have multiple windows in the foreground at the same time, but this only overwrites the display of all other windows. Windows configured using the above features can always stand behind other windows in the foreground. A launcher integrated into the tool collection,
PowerToys Run supports the latest version of web search. Just put it in front? For search queries, run the search in a standard system browser. Edge has no priority when the feature is used. Call the launcher using the
key combination AltSpace. In particular, it can also be used to start programs and settings.
In this build, the keyboard shortcut for the Video Conference Mute Tool has been changed from Windows N to Windows Shift Q to avoid conflicts with Windows 11 keyboard shortcuts.
