Krieya Beauty & Wellness, a research-driven beauty and personal care startup focused on creating products tailored for Indian consumers, has successfully raised approximately Rs 7 crore in its maiden funding round. The seed round was led by Sauce Ventures with Riverwalk Holdings as the co-lead investor. Prominent industry figure Aneesh Sheth, founder of Dr. Sheth’s skincare brand, also participated in the funding, signaling strong confidence in the startup’s vision and product strategy.
Founded by Siddharth Sharma, Krieya is committed to delivering premium, science-backed haircare, skincare, and wellness products formulated specifically for Indian biology and usage habits. The company adopts a research-first approach, having engaged over 500 consumers in its studies and conducted a six-month product trial phase for its upcoming haircare brand. The startup intends to build a portfolio of proprietary formulations underpinned by robust data and consumer insights.
The fresh capital will be deployed to support launch preparations for Krieya’s debut brand, which is slated for release in the third quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year. Additionally, the funds will scale up research capabilities, enhance product development efforts, and help build a “BioPrint”—a comprehensive data-driven profile to optimize formulations for Indian consumers.
Siddharth Sharma emphasized the company’s ambition to transform India’s premium beauty market by focusing on deep R&D to produce effective products that resonate with local consumers. Sauce Ventures highlighted the growing trend of premiumization through homegrown brands and praised Krieya’s scientific rigor and commitment to customer satisfaction as key differentiators in a competitive landscape.
This funding round positions Krieya among the emerging science-led D2C (direct-to-consumer) beauty startups gaining momentum in India, as demand for high-quality, local formulations accelerates amid evolving consumer preferences.
In summary, Krieya’s Rs 7 crore seed funding led by Sauce and Riverwalk Holdings equips the company with resources to launch its first brand, accelerate research, and establish a data-driven foundation to deliver tailored beauty and wellness products for India’s premium segment.
