Billionaire Entrepreneur Richard Branson aims to make a space trip on 11 July by travelling to the edge of Space on Virgin Galactic Holding Inc’s test flight. A successful Flight by Branson would mark a key milestone in the race of commercialising space travel. It might usher in a new era. Richard Branson therefore becomes the first one to reach space ahead of both Jeff Bezos, and his space tourism venture Blue Origin and of course Elon Musk. Branson’s Space Tourism Firm confirmed the news of his travelling. Bezos, who is the founder of the largest retail chain in the world, Amazon. He was slated to fly on July 20 along with his brother Mark, and female co-pilot Wally Funk. Reuters was the first one to report that Branson was planning to steal the limelight and announce his Space travel ahead of Bezos and on Thursday night.
SpaceX chief Elon Musk is also part of the race, and he is quite optimistic that in a few years Space Travels would become mainstream, as more and more people become enthusiastic of travelling with the help of NAscent Technology. It might lead to a $3 billion annual tourism market by 2030. Musk has however not declared any date regarding his own date of Space travel. “Virgin galactic stands at the vanguard of a new commercial space industry. Which is set to open Sa[pce to humankind and change the world for good. “ Said Branson in his statement. Branson’s July 11 mission will be the 22nd flight test for VSS Unity, and the company’s fourth crewed spaceflight, confirmed Virgin.
