Investing platform Sateeq secures funds from various founders, angel investors

Sateeq, an investing platform, has raised an undisclosed angel round from several founders and angel investors. The investors include Sarthak Goel (Founder, Y-Combinator backed InVoid), Himanshu Periwal (Founder, unlu), Vaibhav Jalan (Smallcase), Amitesh Sinha (Partner SIMA Funds), Nikunj Jain (Forbes 30-Under-30), Kunwar & Amit (Founder, UnFinance).

Sateeq was founded by 16-year-old Krishna Maggo, a 12th grader from Delhi in 2021 with an aim to help democratize angel investing.  The platform allows several startups to raise community funding based on Compulsorily Convertible Debentures.

“The ten member startup team is currently building tools for the founders to raise capital digitally as well as instantly from early-stage funds to venture capital rounds,” Sateeq said in an official release. Sateeq also provides infrastructure support to angel syndicates, angel networks and startups to run their private deals and raise funds from specific sets of investors.

Sateeq secures funds from various founders

Being a self-serve platform, Sateeq allows its users to choose any deal from one of the live deals, do their diligence, and put in the amount that they wish to invest. The platform’s larger goal is to build a ‘Super App’ where retail investors can participate in private investing such as real estate, asset-backed tokens, startup equity, and other asset classes.

In less than a month of its beta launch, the company has onboarded more than 5,000 investors in its network and has a dozen-plus startups already registered with the platform. These startups are already backed by investors such as Shraddha Sharma, Vaibhav Vardhan, Kiran Mani, Mumbai Angels,Shark Tank India, Ivy Capital, and Deshpande Startups.

The Founder, Maggo said“Fundraising is not as easy as it seems. Many founders are unable to reach angel investors who invest through traditional angel networks. Therefore, I started Sateeq, where any investor can invest in exciting startups along with marquee investors, with as low as INR 5000, in a secure, safe and informed manner”

He also added that Sateeq is looking at raising a pre-seed round in Q3 this year. The platform’s larger goal is to now build a ‘Super App’ where retail investors can participate in private investing such as real estate, asset-backed tokens, startup equity, and other asset classes.
