Zora Health has unveiled its integrated fertility care and financing platform in Singapore, backed by a funding round of S$1 million (US$740,000). Antler, a venture capital firm, led the initial funding, with participation from notable angel investors, including Cheryl Goh, Prajit Nanu, Alan Jiang, Lisa Enckell, and Asa Liden. Notably, 55% of Zora Health’s investor lineup comprises women.
Founder & CEO Anna Haotanto highlighted the challenges in the fertility treatment landscape, stating, “The fertility treatment landscape is daunting to the women and couples seeking fertility care due to the multitude of service options and providers, complicated regulations and confusing pricing structures.”
Zora Health aims to simplify the process with its comprehensive ecosystem, offering virtual and in-person consultations, medical concierge services, fertility education workshops, and financing. Initial services include egg freezing, in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), fertility testing, and consultations. Fertility financing will be introduced at a later stage.
The platform also caters to corporate clients, providing programs to create fertility-friendly work environments and encourage meaningful fertility discussions. Zora Health emphasized the positive impact on employee well-being, stating, “Research has demonstrated that addressing fertility concerns can result in a 77 per cent increase in employee retention, with 89 per cent reporting improvements in their mental well-being.”
Infertility, affecting approximately one in six people globally, remains a pressing issue. Zora Health already boasts a waitlist of over 180 patients and has formed partnerships with more than 50 clinics across 16 cities in eight countries. The company envisions helping employers attract and retain top talent while boosting productivity through corporate initiatives addressing fertility concerns.
