Zomato Launches Restaurant Services Hub as One-Stop Shop for QSRs

Deepinder Goyal-led Zomato on Thursday introduced a new restaurant services hub designed to help quick service restaurants (QSRs) scale up their operations. This innovative platform is available to all restaurants across India, regardless of their existing arrangements with Zomato.

To date, more than 3,200 restaurants have benefited from the hub, which offers a range of services including staffing solutions, GST registrations, FSSAI registrations, and trademark needs. The platform provides comprehensive staffing solutions, allowing restaurants to outsource the entire hiring process with a guarantee period for new employees.

Additionally, the hub assists with essential licensing, such as FSSAI registration or renewal, GST registration, and trademark registration. Zomato plans to expand its service offerings to include point of sale (POS) integrations and hygiene audits. The platform currently enables users to compare vendors, track services, and avail themselves of discounted prices.

Accessible to Zomato restaurant partners through their Restaurant Partner App or Dining App, the hub represents a significant step towards Zomato’s broader vision. Rakesh Ranjan, CEO of Food Delivery at Zomato, commented on the launch, saying, “The Restaurant Services Hub platform is only a step towards our vision of creating a full-stack solution for any restaurant owner looking to set up shop or scale their existing business.”

Following this announcement, Zomato’s shares closed 1.34% higher on the NSE at Rs 199.90 apiece. This news comes in conjunction with the company’s ongoing advanced discussions with Paytm to acquire its movies and ticketing business, Paytm Insider.

According to a report by the Economic Times, if the deal is completed, it would value Paytm’s entertainment vertical at Rs 1,500 crore. Zomato is expected to drive a hard bargain for the entertainment vertical as Paytm focuses on addressing more significant challenges related to its payments business.
