Zomato Introduces ‘Zomato Food Trends’ to Empower Restaurants with Data-driven Insights

Zomato, India’s leading food ordering and delivery platform, has launched ‘Zomato Food Trends‘ to support both existing and aspiring restaurant partners in making data-driven decisions. This open platform, accessible to the general public free of charge, offers valuable insights by analyzing millions of transactions across numerous cities in India. Restaurant partners can leverage these insights to customize their strategies and accelerate their success.

Zomato Food Trends provides a range of insights to restaurant partners, including demand and supply gaps at the locality level, price distribution and demand trends for different dishes or cuisines, and demand-supply comparisons for multiple dishes or cuisines. Armed with this valuable information, restaurants can make informed decisions regarding pricing, menu offerings, locations, and more.

In a blog post, Zomato stated, “We strive to be a trusted partner to everyone, providing a level playing field, particularly for smaller restaurants, to help them flourish in this dynamic and competitive market. That’s why we have made Zomato Food Trends accessible not only to all our listed restaurant partners but also to the general public, free of charge. We firmly believe that anyone who dreams of starting and scaling a restaurant business should have the opportunity to do so.”

The restaurant industry in India has witnessed significant transformation in recent years to meet the ever-changing market needs and evolving consumer preferences. Traditional cuisines now coexist with a growing demand for artisanal pizzas, gourmet burgers, and authentic regional Indian cuisines. Zomato Food Trends aims to support both existing and aspiring restaurant partners by providing them with valuable insights to spot trends, identify market gaps, and innovate accordingly.

Shadman Faize, Founder of Zam Zam, shared his experience of incorporating Zomato Food Trends into his business, stating, “Zomato Food Trends helped me understand what customers prefer in my area and at what price points. It helped me redesign my menu and serve my customers better.”

Kanan Rai, Founder of Motu Ki Kachori, also praised the platform, saying, “I’ve been using ‘Zomato Food Trends’ ever since it was launched, and it’s such a great tool to get insights into food consumption and supply trends which have been a black box so far. Say if I want to know if people like Paani Puri or Kachori, when they like to order it, and from which area, there is now a simple tool.”
