Zomato Becomes First Indian Company to Feature in Hollywood Film ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’


Zomato, India’s leading food ordering and delivery platform, proudly announced its unprecedented integration within the highly anticipated Hollywood film ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.’ This groundbreaking partnership marks the first-ever in-film integration of an Indian company in a Hollywood movie, showcasing Zomato’s brand name at a pivotal moment in the film.

Sony Pictures Entertainment India has planned to double the screen count of ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ compared to its predecessor, the Oscar-winning ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ released in June 2018.

Shony Panjikaran, General Manager & Head, Sony Pictures Releasing International, India, expressed his excitement, stating, “‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ has been creating a lot of buzz in India with multiple milestones, including a first-time-ever 10-language theatrical release and a collaboration with Indian cricketer Shubman Gill as the voice of Indian Spider-Man. To celebrate this remarkable partnership, Zomato has curated a series of promotional activities, including out-of-home billboard advertisements and sky buses in four cities (Bangalore, Kolkata, Delhi, and Mumbai). Zomato’s application will feature a dedicated Spider-Man crystal, and animated videos will be showcased across various digital platforms. This association with ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ represents a significant milestone in Zomato’s journey, highlighting the global recognition of an Indian company in the entertainment world.
