Zilingo COO Aadi Vaidya resigns in the latest blow to the Singapore startup

The chief operating officer of Zilingo Pte has left following a term in which the fashion e-commerce firm rose to prominence before collapsing. When reached by Bloomberg News, Aadi Vaidya, who came on board in 2015 and became COO 2 years later, verified his departure. Vaidya said that Friday will be his last day at the organization.

“I’ve resigned & decided to leave Zilingo,” he declared. “It was a place that developed me both professionally and personally, as well as provided me with wonderful colleagues and friends.”

Zilingo COO Aadi Vaidya resigns

“I believe it is time for me to move on, clear my mind, and realign my priorities for the future.” It is the most recent high-level departure from the ailing corporation. Ankiti Bose, the CEO, was fired in May following an inquiry by an independent firm investigating allegations of financial irregularities. Ramesh Bafna, the previous CFO of fashion e-commerce portal Myntra, also quit in May, only 2 months after joining the business.

Following the departures, the firm will be led by Dhruv Kapoor, co-founder & CTO who owns around 8% of Zilingo. Vaidya owns a 2% stake in the firm. Kapoor has been attempting to get funding to keep the firm solvent.
