Zepto Café Surpasses 100,000 Daily Orders, Strengthens Hold in Quick Commerce

Zepto Café, the 10-minute food delivery service from quick commerce unicorn Zepto, has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing 100,000 orders per day. The company’s co-founder and CEO, Aadit Palicha, shared the news on social media, highlighting that the business is nearing a $100 million annualized GMV run-rate with a steady-state gross margin of nearly 50%.
The milestone comes just two weeks after Zepto Café exceeded 75,000 daily orders, showcasing rapid growth in the quick commerce sector. Launched as a standalone app in December 2024, Zepto Café initially recorded 30,000 daily orders, which surged to 50,000 in January 2025, marking a 60% month-on-month increase. By early February, the daily order volume had jumped to 75,000, reflecting continued momentum in the sector.
Palicha acknowledged the operational challenges involved in scaling the business, stating that while execution has been complex, strong customer demand and long-term retention trends have been key drivers of success. He described this growth as the beginning of a revolution in India’s quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry.
The rapid expansion of Zepto Café comes at a time when the competition in the 10-minute food delivery space is intensifying. Rivals such as Zomato-backed Blinkit’s Bistro and Swiggy’s Bolt are also making significant strides. Blinkit recently entered the segment with its Bistro service, which aims to address efficiency challenges in ultra-fast food delivery through cloud kitchens. Meanwhile, Swiggy’s Bolt, launched in October 2024, has already grown to contribute 9% of the company’s total food delivery volumes.
As the demand for instant food delivery surges, Zepto Café continues to push forward, expanding its reach and opening over 100 new cafés every month. With competitors ramping up their efforts and the market for quick commerce evolving rapidly, Zepto’s latest milestone solidifies its position as a leader in India’s fast-growing 10-minute food delivery sector.
