Zen Mobility plans to launch light electric vehicles

A multipurpose four-wheel light EV called the “Zen Maxi Pod” and a specifically designed freight three-wheel light EV called the “Zen Micro Pod” are among the first mobility options from electric vehicle OEM Zen Mobility.
According to the business, the Zen Micro Pod and Maxi Pod were conceptualised utilising best-in-class design and technology, enabling increased comfort, convenience, optimised range, and lower cost of ownership. While the Micro Pod will be unveiled in early 2023 to address issues with riders and delivery partners in last-mile delivery, Zen Mobility has also announced its plans to introduce a cutting-edge multi-purpose “Maxi Pod” in the ensuing years.

“At Zen Mobility, we have critically analysed the dynamic and complex nature of scenarios like last-mile delivery and intra-city goods mobility as well as the challenges that users face during their transit,” said Namit Jain, founder and CEO. In order to conceptualise and implement solutions in the form of light electric vehicles that will offer better efficiency, productivity, safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness in a range of use cases and scenarios, we have adopted a design thinking approach.
The Zen Micro Pod and Maxi Pod were designed in Germany and constructed locally. They would be produced in India using locally sourced components, supporting the Make in India initiative, the business claimed.
