In a significant move to diversify its consumer investment portfolio, Wipro Consumer Care – Ventures has announced its first investment in the pet food category by backing Goofy Tails, a fast-growing D2C pet nutrition brand headquartered in New Delhi. This investment is part of Goofy Tails’ pre-series A funding round of over USD 1 million, which takes the brand’s total capital raised to USD 2 million.
Founded in 2021 by Karan Gupta, Kartik, Kunal, and Ashish, Goofy Tails offers a wide range of holistic pet nutrition products including wholesome meals, freeze-dried foods, supplements, and treats. These products are formulated by veterinarians and nutritionists, and are made with clean, 100% natural ingredients, free from gluten and preservatives. Goofy Tails emphasizes bioavailability and overall pet well-being, aiming to fill the growing need for high-quality, clean-label pet nutrition in India.

Goofy Tails has already served over two lakh pets across India and sells through leading online marketplaces, quick commerce platforms, and its own D2C website. The brand has built a loyal customer base by focusing on pet wellness, transparency in ingredients, and convenience for pet parents.

This investment also marks Wipro Consumer Care – Ventures’ third deal in 2025 and 15th overall, signaling a sustained focus on the digital-first consumer space. With this latest deal, Fund I has now been fully deployed, and Wipro Consumer Care – Ventures has officially activated its INR 250 crore Fund II, which will continue to focus on digital-first consumer brands across India and Southeast Asia.
Wipro Consumer Care – Ventures’ entry into the pet food segment aligns with broader market trends, where India’s pet care industry is witnessing rapid growth due to rising pet ownership and increasing awareness around pet health and nutrition.
As pet humanization gains momentum in India, the collaboration between Wipro and Goofy Tails marks a promising step in reshaping the pet food industry with innovation, science-backed nutrition, and scalable distribution.
