Invstt Trust (“Fund”), an AIF registered with SEBI as an Angel Fund, was launched by We Founder Circle (WFC), an early-stage startup investment platform that includes a global community of successful founders and strategic angels, in order to support early-stage startup investments in India. The Fund’s target size shall be up to Rs. 200 crores, with a green shoe option of up to an additional Rs. 200 crores, for a total of Rs. 400 crores.
The We Founder Circle Global Angels Fund has also been established in GIFT City by WFC. An international fund called We Founder Circle Global Angels Fund seeks out investors from all over the world. The fund has a $30 million size, a $30 million green shoe option, a 7-year duration, and an option to extend by an additional 2-years. Additionally, We Founder Circle Global Angels Fund is a sector-neutral fund that will let global investors take part in opportunities anywhere.
EV, Content Gaming, Industrial Tech, Retail Tech, Ed Tech, Supply Chain, AgriTech, Consumer/D2C, Manufacturing, and others (Logistics, ealthcare, Technology, Agri-Allied sectors, etc.) are just a few of the areas that the Fund will primarily target to invest in. The Fund is also sector-agnostic.
42 firms became unicorns in 2021, generating significant returns for their early-stage investors. This has encouraged many HNIs to participate in angel projects, but the movement is still in its infancy and needs to be streamlined along with the appropriate advice for entrepreneurs and investors. As a result, we intended for this fund to serve as a catalyst for the process from both the perspective of angel investors and early-stage entrepreneurs. Prior to two or three years ago, it was all about startup mentoring and incubation.

The need to increase capital flow, streamline it for HNIs to stimulate positive results, and bridge the gap between angel investors and entrepreneurs has now become apparent.Gaurav VK Singhvi, Managing Partner of Investment Manager (We Founder Circle Angel Accelerator) of both the Fund, stated that in addition to cash access, the fund also offers networking and mentorship help to entrepreneurs with tech skills and international business connections.
The average deal size for early-stage businesses has not been significantly affected by the varying late-stage inflows, which reflects the growing interest of potential angel investors in startup investments as asset-class financial instruments. Accordingly, Funds will finance Pre-Seed, Seed, and Series A rounds of startup funding.
“This Funds are a logical progression of our effort to bring more companies & investors into the ecosystem’s mainstream. We have been developing the community on both ends, and this fund will allow the rising number of angel investors to make investments in a framework that is governed by regulations and compliance. In the next 24 months, We Founder Circle co-founder and CEO Neeraj Tyagi expects to attract more than 1000 angel investors to fund 200 businesses.
We Founder Circle has mentored more than 70 businesses through various programmes over the last 23 months, investing in them at an early stage in over 70 of them. Funds will aid entrepreneurs in planning for the upcoming growth phase. The introduction of Funds is consistent with WFC’s goal to support 500 companies in five years.
