Health-tech startup Viraa Care has successfully raised $108,000 in a pre-seed funding round from a group of European angel investors. This latest round follows the company’s previous raise of $100,000 in January 2024, bringing the total pre-seed funding to $208,000. The fresh capital will enable the startup to expand its offerings internationally and enhance its live courses on infant and pediatric nutrition, providing expert guidance to parents on nurturing their children with nutrient-dense, fresh foods.
Founded in 2023 by Sonal Babbar-Bhardwaj and Mayank Bhardwaj, Viraa Care aims to support parents by offering online courses that address key areas of early child nutrition and feeding practices, including breastfeeding, bottle feeding, introduction to solids, and managing picky eaters. With a commitment to steering parents away from processed baby products that contain preservatives and artificial additives, Viraa Care is creating a resource for holistic, health-conscious parenting.
Viraa Care currently offers two flagship programs: one-on-one consultations and live courses. The one-on-one program spans three months, delivering personalized guidance through individual sessions with experts on topics like breastfeeding, baby nutrition, and solid food introduction. Meanwhile, the live courses include recorded lessons supplemented by interactive sessions, where parents can connect directly with specialists. Each course is structured into five modules designed to give parents a comprehensive understanding of early childhood nutrition.
According to the press release, Viraa Care has already supported over 500 families in the United States and India. The platform has hosted over 500 sessions and reports a 2x month-on-month growth in its customer base. The recent funding will also aid Viraa Care’s ongoing platform enhancements, enabling it to offer tailored nutrition advice and launch additional workshops covering essential topics in child development.
