Vayuguard Climate Tech Pvt. Ltd., a startup focused on combating indoor air pollution, has secured seed funding from ONGC, marking a major milestone in its growth journey. This investment serves as a strong validation of Vayuguard’s innovative technology and its potential to create large-scale health and environmental impact.
Founded by industry veterans Kapil Kapoor and Avinash Kumar Goyal, each with over 16 years of experience, Vayuguard was born out of a mission to tackle one of today’s most pressing health concerns—indoor air pollution. The duo has developed a patented hybrid air purification technology that effectively eliminates particulate matter, VOCs, bacteria, viruses, and odors, setting a new benchmark in indoor air quality and safety.

Vayuguard is currently incubated at three prestigious institutions—IIT Delhi, IIM Lucknow (Noida Campus), and BML Munjal University. The startup has leveraged these innovation hubs to refine its core technology, business model, and market strategy. The founders’ commitment to rigorous research and product development has earned Vayuguard multiple grants and support under the Startup India Seed Fund (SISF).
The recent investment by ONGC, one of India’s leading energy companies, comes as a testament to the company’s potential to drive both health and climate impact. The funding will be utilized to scale operations, enhance R&D, and strengthen market presence across India, especially in urban and industrial clusters where indoor air quality remains a major concern.
