Truecaller and We-Hub Sign MoU To Promote Women Entrepreneurship


The government of Telangana and We-Hub, the state’s first and only state-led incubator to cultivate and promote women’s entrepreneurship, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support women-led start-ups throughout Telangana. This is another initiative by Truecaller to boost the presence of female entrepreneurs in the digital sector. In the presence of Jayesh Ranjan, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Telangana’s IT E&C department, the MoU was signed by Deepthi Ravula, CEO of WE HUB, and Pragya Misra, Director of Public Affairs of Truecaller.

Additionally, Truecaller will give prospective start-ups advertising credits worth $25,000 to help them grow their visibility and market their goods and services. WE-Hub and Truecaller will hold hackathons on jointly determined issue statements to promote creativity and problem-solving, with awards and prizes provided by Truecaller to encourage greater participation.

Jayesh Ranjan, Principal Secretary of Commerce and Industries, Information Technology Departments, who attended the event, said, “The Government of Telangana has always encouraged collaboration amongst organisations and believes in the potential and impact of supporting start-ups in the state. The collaboration between WE-HUB and Truecaller will strengthen our dedication to this rapidly expanding industry and provide female founders and teams with committed support throughout their business journeys.”

Pragya Misra, Director of Public Affairs at Truecaller, said, “We are grateful for the opportunity to engage with WE-HUB and contribute to Telangana’s varied, vibrant, and collaborative start-up ecosystem.
