Truck Driver Turned YouTuber Earns Up to ₹10 Lakh a Month with 1.86 Million Subscribers

Rajesh Rawani, a seasoned truck driver with over two decades of experience on India’s roads, has found unexpected fame as a YouTuber. Rajesh, who hails from Jamtara, Jharkhand, runs a popular YouTube channel called “R Rajesh Vlogs,” where he shares his passion for cooking while on the move. His channel has garnered over 1.86 million subscribers, leading to a significant increase in his income and allowing him to purchase a new home.

In a recent conversation with Sidharth Kannan, Rajesh opened up about his financial journey. Despite earning between ₹25,000 and ₹30,000 per month as a truck driver, his income as a YouTuber has surpassed his expectations. “I posted a video with a voiceover while people kept asking me to reveal my face. So, my son made a video showing my face. It got 4.5 lakh views in just one day,” Rajesh shared, recounting the moment when his first video went viral. His earnings from YouTube fluctuate based on viewership, typically bringing in ₹4-5 lakh per month, with his best month reaching an impressive ₹10 lakh.

Rajesh also revealed that he is currently constructing his first home, a project made possible through his YouTube earnings. He spoke candidly about surviving a severe accident that injured his hand. Despite the injury, he continued driving due to his family responsibilities and the ongoing house construction. “We are running the vehicles and the YouTube channel at the same time. It would not be possible without my family’s support and help,” Rajesh emphasized.

Rajesh’s journey has been marked by hard work and resilience. His father, who also worked as a driver, was the sole provider for their family of five, sending ₹500 per month for their needs. However, this amount was often insufficient, forcing the family to rely on loans to make ends meet.

In his latest YouTube video, published at 11:30 AM on August 18, Rajesh Rawani addresses the ongoing flood situation in Bihar. The video, recorded the previous day, shows Rajesh driving to Guwahati, with still 850 km to go before reaching his destination.

Rajesh Rawani’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance and the unexpected opportunities that can arise from following one’s passion. His YouTube success, coupled with his dedication to his family and work, has made him an inspiration to many.
