The Global brand Samsung has invited the start ups to collaborate on Digital India initiatives to accelerate the vision of powering Digital India.


The most trusted and global brand Samsung has invited the start ups to collaborate on Digital India initiatives to accelerate the vision of powering Digital India. Samsung, India’s largest electronic company made this decision by aiming at powering Digital India. They will collaborate on technologies around the Government’s Digital India stack, which includes UPI, Digilocker, Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC), Open Credit Enablement Network (OCEN), Unified Health Interface (UHI) among others. The invited start-ups will be in partnership with Samsung’s R&D centers and business units in India on domains such as wallet, health, fitness where products and services will be integrated with the Samsung ecosystem.

As a part of this collaboration Samsung has held a Startup Collab event at the iconic Samsung Opera House in Bengaluru and they are ready to provide funding support to the following start ups. Around twenty five startup organizations have attended the programme and they were from the fintech, health tech and eCommerce space with some of them utilizing the India Stack to build for Digital India services.

The events for collaboration have been conducted by the leaders of Samsung R&D centers in Bengaluru and Noida, and its corporate headquarters in Gurugram, they explored the Samsung’s ecosystem of products and services and understanding where they can potentially collaborate around Digital India initiatives. Samsung has over 3 million daily active users in all over India. Samsung came to India in 1995 and they made very successful partnerships with startups in the country over these years. And now it is India’s No.1 consumer electronics and smartphone company. Sanjeev Kumar is the current CEO of Samsung in India.
