Tata group is planning to open hundred small exclusive Apple stores across India


India’s largest multinational conglomerate Tata Group is planning to open hundred small exclusive Apple stores all over the country. The project is developing as a part of the collaboration of Tata group with Apple. The Tata-owned Infiniti Retail, the company that runs the Croma store chain has tied up with Apple and thus they will become Apple’s franchisee partner. So the project will make Tata group to be the authorised resellers of Apple and Apple will become able to sell their products in India through these authorised resellers. 

For this Tata group has already begun their move to make space for their exclusive stores in malls, high-street neighbourhood areas and few other places. They are planning to lease store space including  the stores and companies that can’t open their own stores near the Apple’s authorised store.

Tata_Apple The Apple owned stores usually boost sales for its authorised retail partners. The stores will be comparatively smaller from Apple Premium Reseller stores which are mostly focusing on selling iPads, iPhones. The products like MacBooks and the other Apple range will be selling only through large stores. There are around 160 Apple Premium Reseller stores already in India.

According to reports, the new partnership of Apple and Tata is a part of the opening of the first Apple Store that is  planned to open between January and March 2023 in Mumbai and the second store in Delhi. Also later in Chennai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. Apple has already taken around 22,000 sq ft of space near the Bandra-Kurla complex in Mumbai and around 12,000 sq ft of space in New Delhi for the same. Apple has started manufacturing iPhones in India for the first time in 2017.
