T-Hub to Get New CEO; CIO Sujit Jagirdar Takes Interim Charge

T-Hub, the Telangana government’s pioneering initiative for innovation and startup incubation, is set to witness a change in leadership. The government has decided not to extend the tenure of the current CEO, Mahankali Srinivas Rao, whose three-year term ended on October 7, 2024.
Sujit Jagirdar, the Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) of T-Hub, has been appointed as the interim CEO until the government finalizes a permanent successor. The announcement was made on Tuesday by one of the senior T-Hub board members, who is also a key figure in Hyderabad’s IT industry, according to sources.
Mahankali Srinivas Rao, often referred to as MSR, took charge as the CEO of T-Hub on October 7, 2021, following the departure of Ravi Narayan, who stepped down in September 2021 due to personal reasons before the completion of his term. Despite the T-Hub board’s inclination to retain MSR, the Telangana government is reportedly seeking new leadership for what is touted as the world’s largest startup incubator.
Rao, an industry veteran with over 37 years of experience in the IT sector and entrepreneurship, confirmed the development. “I am sure Hyderabad will become a world-class entrepreneurial ecosystem, and I am happy to have played a small part in this journey,” MSR said, reflecting on his time with T-Hub. When asked about his future plans, he added, “I had some options I was considering.”
T-Hub is an integral part of Telangana’s innovation ecosystem, alongside WE-HUB and T-Works. With Jagirdar at the helm in the interim, the government is expected to carefully select a new CEO who will continue to drive the state’s innovation agenda forward.
