B2B visa solutions provider StampMyVisa (SMV) has acquired Teleport, a travel tech startup backed by prominent Indian founders including Kunal Shah (CRED), Vidit Aatrey (Meesho) and Phanindra Sama (RedBus). The deal is expected to bolster SMV’s operations in South India and further solidify its leadership in the digital visa services space.
Founded in 2023 by Pravin Wadekar, Rahul Borude, and Amey Anekar, SMV works with travel agents, corporates, online travel agencies (OTAs) and MICE companies to process visas for over 60 countries. The platform claims a 99.5% success rate and has processed more than 50,000 visas to date, recording a four-fold revenue growth over the past eight months. The company is also building Konveyor, an API infrastructure enabling travel platforms, banks, OTAs and fintechs to integrate visa services directly into their offerings.
Speaking on the acquisition, Rahul Borude, Co-founder and CEO of SMV, said:
“This moment feels like coming full circle from being part of CRED’s early team to now acquiring a startup backed by Kunal Shah. With Teleport’s consumer innovation and SMV’s scalable visa infrastructure, we are set to create India’s most seamless visa experience.”
Teleport Founder Nikita Dresswala added that SMV’s B2B capabilities and visa expertise will help scale Teleport’s mission of reimagining travel for independent Indian explorers.
SMV’s leadership team also includes Co-founder Pravin Wadekar, a MakeMyTrip alumnus with over 15 years of experience in visa operations, and Dhaval Mehta, CFO and former Associate Director of Finance at Jupiter.
The company is currently in advanced discussions to raise $3 million to accelerate its next phase of growth.
