Shiprocket appoints Ankur Sarawagi as SVP of Fastrr Checkout

Ankur Sarawagi has been appointed as the Senior Vice President of Fastrr Checkout at ecommerce enablement platform, Shiprocket. Ankur has over 10 years of experience in scaling, category creation, growth-hacking and leading global businesses, and previously co-founded NearBuy and served as Vice President and Country Manager at WeddingWire India (TKWW group).
Ankur’s new role at Fastrr involves developing modern solutions to enhance the brand’s vision of providing a quicker and more convenient shopping experience.
Having worked as the Managing Director and Vice President of International Growth at WeddingWire India, Ankur Sarawagi previously co-founded the hyperlocal ecommerce platform, NearBuy. He kick-started his career at Bain & Company, after graduating from IIT Bombay.
Saahil Goel, CEO and co-founder of Shiprocket, stated that “Ankur’s experience in establishing e-commerce systems and scaling global companies will be valuable in adding trust-driven transactions to the checkout space and driving the company’s expansion. The objective of Shiprocket is to provide a one-stop platform to make e-commerce accessible to businesses, with one-click checkout being an important aspect of customer experience”.
Ankur Sarawagi, the new SVP of Fastrr, expressed his enthusiasm for “the brand’s goal of facilitating seamless e-commerce experiences and enabling businesses in India and worldwide with technology-driven solutions. He also mentioned that their product is aimed at building trust between buyers and sellers”.
