Shilpa Shetty-backed Wickedgud raises us$ 250k funding from Getvantage

D2C brand WickedGud, known for its healthy food and snack alternatives, has secured an additional $250,000 in growth funding from GetVantage, India’s leading alternative financing platform for eCommerce entrepreneurs and SMEs.
Having made a significant impact in the healthy food industry, WickedGud continues to gain momentum and consumer trust. The newly acquired funding will be allocated towards marketing initiatives, product expansion, and retail distribution, with the goal of achieving a fivefold increase in net revenues in FY 24. Impressively, the company has already experienced threefold growth in net revenues over the past year. Additionally, WickedGud plans to expand its retail presence exponentially, aiming to reach over 2,000 retail stores across India through its distribution partner network.
WickedGud specializes in producing 100% maida-free, oil-free, and MSG-free pasta and noodles, which are available on various online marketplaces. The company is also preparing to introduce three new product categories—Malted Drinks, Sweet Spreads, and Popped Chips—within the next 18 months. Recently, WickedGud secured INR 2.25 crore in funding from renowned fitness evangelist, actor, entrepreneur, and serial investor Shilpa Shetty. The brand has even appeared on Shark Tank Season 2, further solidifying its reputation.
WickedGud’s products are crafted using wholesome ingredients approved by mothers, including whole wheat flour, lentils, brown rice, chickpeas, oats, and millets. Leveraging innovative Steaming and Convection Air Drying (SCAD) technology, the brand encourages sustainable food habits while delivering a superior macronutrient profile compared to traditional brands.
As a seasoned D2C founder, and having previously launched and scaled the consumer favorite tea brand, TGL Co.
