The second season of Shark Tank India has concluded. The well-known reality show features entrepreneurs from various fields presenting their business proposals to a panel of Sharks and requesting investment from them. The Sharks on the show consist of Vineeta Singh, Peyush Bansal, Namita Thapar, Aman Gupta, Amit Jain, and Anupam Mittal.
An intriguing incident took place during the final episode of the second season of Shark Tank India. Vineeta Singh and her husband, Kaushik Mukherjee, who were one of the Sharks on the panel, switched roles and became entrepreneurs, presenting their company to the other Sharks. They recounted their story of how they established Sugar Cosmetics and grew it into a successful enterprise. The couple received an incredible offer of ₹5 crore from all five Sharks, making it a dream deal for them.
During the finale, Kaushik Mukherjee invited his former business partner from 2016, Vineeta Singh, to the stage to present their brand to the Sharks. They requested a funding of ₹1 crore for a 2% stake in the company.
When asked about the brand name, the entrepreneurs replied, “We initially thought of naming it Kickass Cosmetics, but eventually settled on the name Sugar.” Vineeta also presented her products to the Sharks.
During the pitch, Aman Gupta inquired about the investment rounds, to which Vineeta mentioned that “they only secured one investment in 2013. She further added that they struggled to acquire any further investments due to concerns that the couple may encounter disputes in their business partnership’.

Anupam Mittal praised the couple for persisting with their business and jokingly suggested that Vineeta may soon join the panel of Sharks on the Shark Tank India show.
Recap of key moments from finale
A noteworthy pitch during the finale of Shark Tank India Season 2 came from actress Parul Gulati, who presented her business venture, ‘Nish Hair.’ The actress shared that she came up with the idea after her production company declined to cover the expenses for her hair extensions. She then proceeded to put the idea into action.
Aman Gupta enquired if the hair extension business is Parul Gulati’s primary profession. To which she gave a clever response, stating that “she is wedded to acting, and the hair extension business is her child. Therefore, she cannot overlook either of them”.
Parul Gulati requested a funding of ₹1 crore in exchange for 2% equity. Amit Jain extended an offer of ₹1 crore for a 2% stake, while Vineeta Singh and Aman Gupta jointly proposed ₹1 crore for 3% equity. The other Sharks did not express interest in the deal.
Arjit Soni made an impressive pitch with his public bicycle sharing model, but despite discussing the business’s financials and potential for profit, the Sharks ultimately declined to invest in the venture.
