In a landmark step towards empowering local youth with entrepreneurship skills, SAURYA (Saharanpur Udyami Rojgar Yuva Abhiyan) was officially launched today in Saharanpur. On the same occasion, a significant MOU was signed between the District Administration and SkillingYou, laying the foundation for structured training, mentoring, and government scheme support for aspiring entrepreneurs in the district.
The MOU was formally signed by Chief Development Officer Shri Sumit Mahajan (IAS) and SkillingYou Founder & CEO Shri Praveen Kumar Rajbhar. This partnership aims to roll out multiple programs focused on building entrepreneurial abilities, providing business support, and ensuring access to key government funding schemes for youth.
The SAURYA Launching Program witnessed the participation of over 100 selected youth, all of whom had applied through the SkillingYou app and qualified after clearing a free Business Aptitude Test.
District Magistrate Shri Manish Bansal (IAS) was the chief guest of the event. Appreciating the initiative, he said, “SAURYA is a unique and visionary program that bridges the gap between youth and government schemes. It will encourage new-age entrepreneurs to build sustainable businesses with innovative thinking.”
CDO Shri Sumit Mahajan praised the model, saying, “Such targeted programs are the need of the hour. SAURYA gives youth a direction and real opportunity to take control of their economic future.”
Praveen Kumar Rajbhar, CEO of SkillingYou, explained the SAURYA model and inspired the selected candidates by sharing how the upcoming 1-month business training program will help them build strong foundations from startup ideas to marketing, sales, finance, social media, AI tools, legal knowledge, and access to government schemes.
Shri V.K. Kaushal, General Manager, DIC Saharanpur, briefed the youth on the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udhyami Yojana (MYUVA) and other key government initiatives. He encouraged participants to move forward with confidence and embrace entrepreneurship.
Additional Commissioner Dr. Banwari Lal and the entire DIC team played a vital role in organizing and successfully conducting the event.
The participating youth expressed their excitement and gratitude, sharing that for the first time they feel truly supported to start a business with real guidance, hands-on training, and financial access.
