SaaS startup Zoho to hire 2,000 employees for its india & global expansion

As it strives to grow in India and around the world, software-as-a-service (SaaS) industry leader Zoho Corp is aiming to hire at least 2,000 people in engineering, technology, and product development. According to Prashant Ganti, head of products, tax, accounting & payroll at Zoho, “We have already started hiring locally and plan to establish upskilling programmes like Zoho Schools of Learning in these regions as we increase our operations.”
More software developers, engineers for quality assurance, web developers, designers, product marketers, writers, technical support engineers, and sales executives are needed by Zoho. Ganti revealed the company’s goals for both organic growth and geographic expansion. According to the transnational localism strategy, which he described, “we have been employing locally in the nations where we are putting up businesses, our worldwide expansion is happening,” he stated.
Zoho, which is present throughout the US and India, has recently expanded into places like Egypt, Jeddah, and Cape Town. According to Gati NSE 1.88 per cent, the company is also attempting to recruit talent from rural areas of India. Currently, it has about 10,800 employees worldwide. In addition to looking for places in tier 3 and tier 4 towns in Uttar Pradesh to put up an office, Zoho has rural hubs in Tamil Nadu.

According to documents filed with the Registrar of Companies, Zoho, which has its headquarters in Chennai, had a rise in operating income of over 22.3% to Rs 5,230 crore for FY21. With a net profit for the year of Rs 1,917.70 crore, which was more than twice as much as the year before, it is probably India’s most profitable unicorn. Regarding the company’s objectives for the fiscal year 2023, Ganti stated that Zoho would keep funding a vertically integrated tech stack.
The SaaS provider provides financial management with Zoho Books, HR solutions through Zoho People, and additional products including Zoho Inventory, Zoho CRM, and Zoho Site. It also intends to enter the market for financial management suites, which Quickbooks by Intuit previously supplied.
