Saas platform Unicommerce plans to add 800 warehouses this fiscal

In light of the nation’s booming e-commerce industry, supply chain SaaS technology provider Unicommerce announced on Monday that it will expand its network of warehouses by 800 this fiscal year. The growth follows the development of numerous new categories and business models by businesses.
The platform presently manages more than 96 million stock-keeping units (SKUs) in a variety of industries, including FMCG, beauty and wellness, fashion and accessories, and eyewear, for over 7,200 warehouses. According to the firm, the integrated order, inventory, and warehouse management platform processes more than 20% of India’s e-commerce volumes, with more than 1 million daily transactions and a run rate of more than USD 5 billion GMV.
According to a press release from the company, “over 8,000 warehouses will be employing Unicommerce’s warehouse management platform by March 2023, while more than 7,200 warehouses are now active on it. Companies have implemented Unicommerce’s warehouse management systems to manage and automate all warehouse activities, including picking, packing, dispatching, and acquiring products for storage,” the company said.

In the past two years, numerous new categories and business models have appeared as e-commerce has gained popularity in the nation. According to the press release, Unicommerce has become a dominating player in the market thanks to its capacity to assist D2C firms in expanding their operations to several warehouses. According to the company, the SaaS platform is built to guarantee seamless integration of several warehouses, enable automatic order allocation to the warehouse closest to customers, as well as manage return orders at the warehouse.
