Funding Alert Press Release

BGauss raises Rs 110 Cr in fresh round at Rs 1,000 Cr valuation

BGauss has raised Rs 110 crore in a fresh funding round, taking its estimated post-money valuation to between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 1,100 crore. The round was led by founder Hemant Mahendrakumar Kabra, with participation from existing investor Bharat Value Fund and other investors.

Kabra invested Rs 50 crore in the round, while Bharat Value Fund contributed Rs 44 crore. Adesh Realtor LLP and Maithan Alloys invested Rs 10 crore and Rs 6 crore, respectively.

BGauss is an electric two-wheeler manufacturer focused on building scooters for the Indian market. The company’s latest fundraise comes as electric mobility continues to attract interest from consumers, investors, and businesses looking for cleaner alternatives to petrol-powered vehicles.

The funding will support BGauss as it works to expand its operations, strengthen its product portfolio, and support future growth plans. For an electric-vehicle company, raising capital is important because the business requires investment across several areas, including product development, manufacturing, charging support, dealerships, marketing, and after-sales service.

Unlike software startups, electric-vehicle companies must build and manage a physical ecosystem. A good scooter is only one part of the customer experience. Buyers also expect reliable servicing, easy access to spare parts, strong battery performance, and convenient support after purchase. BGauss will need to continue investing in these areas as it grows.

The company had previously raised Rs 161 crore from Bharat Value Fund in January 2025. That funding was intended to support manufacturing capacity, in-house research and development, new product launches, marketing, and broader expansion.

The latest investment suggests that existing backers remain confident in BGauss’s long-term potential. Founder participation is also significant because it shows Kabra continuing to invest personally in the company’s future. Such backing can strengthen confidence among employees, dealers, suppliers, and potential customers.

The valuation range of Rs 1,000 crore to Rs 1,100 crore places BGauss among the more closely watched electric two-wheeler startups in India. However, the company will still operate in a highly competitive market, with established manufacturers and several newer EV brands competing for the same customers.

The next stage will be about execution. BGauss will need to expand without compromising quality, maintain competitive pricing, and build a dependable service network. If it can combine attractive products with reliable ownership support, the fresh funding could help the company strengthen its position in India’s growing electric-mobility market.
