Mumbai-based AI diagnostics startup, Qure.AI, has successfully raised $65 million in a Series D funding round led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and 360 ONE Asset Management. The round saw participation from new investors, including Merck & Co.’s Merck Global Health Innovation Fund and Kae Capital, alongside existing investors such as Novo Holdings, Health Quad, and TeamFund.
The fresh capital will be utilized to accelerate Qure.AI’s expansion into the US and other international markets, further develop its generative AI foundation models, and pursue strategic acquisitions. Qure.AI, founded in 2016, specializes in using artificial intelligence to detect and manage critical diseases. Its products are already in use at over 3,000 imaging sites in more than 90 countries and have received clearance from both US and European Union regulators.
Qure.AI’s solutions are designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency, often surpassing the capabilities of human radiologists and physicians in identifying conditions such as tuberculosis, lung cancer, and stroke.
“AI is helping overcome health care bottlenecks,” said Prashant Warier, Qure.AI’s co-founder and Chief Executive Officer. “The technology is increasingly being used in areas such as drug discovery, patient management in hospitals and surgical robots.”
