Push Sports, a business in Delhi that focuses on sports education and infrastructure, raised an undisclosed sum in a seed funding round that was led by BeyondSeed and Moonshine Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The money raised will be used to extend the reach of six exclusive arenas in the Delhi-National Capital Region to Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Rohtak.
Founded in 2019 by Puru Singh, Push Sports is working on a full-stack, sports-driven fitness and training platform that will provide users with access to professionally managed, digitally connected playing arenas with day and night sports amenities. In addition to 1,500 pay-to-play users, the firm has over 400 subscriptions. With a churn rate of less than 3%, the company claims to have had substantial growth in its subscription business.
The business administers all of Da One Sports’ academies and in-school initiatives, making it the sole strategic partner of Da One Sports, which is owned by Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan. This allows the business to be recognized throughout the nation.
“Sports is a superpower when it comes to managing physical and mental well-being. Especially in formative years, it can stimulate holistic growth of an individual by developing key skills such as teamwork, leadership, managing failure and social engagement. At Push we partner with parents in exploring the greatest talents of each child by offering a platform to express and hone their skills and personality” said Puru Singh, founder, Push Sports.
“As per market estimates, driven by India’s massive youth population, the Indian sports industry is expected to grow to $100 billion by 2027. We believe that Push Sports is plugging a gap in the fragmented recreational and sports coaching market segment in India that is catering to kids under 14 and youth, by providing top class infrastructure and competitive training programmes focusing on overall wellbeing and health of the child,” said Shiva Vilayanur, co-founder and COO at BeyondSeed
