Pre-Series Funding Round Nets Barton Breeze $8,00,000 in Investment


Barton Breeze, an agri-tech start-up based in Gurugram, has raised $8,00,000 in a Pre-Series funding round from new investors. This marks the company’s first investment in its five-year history and the funds will be used to introduce new and innovative products, as well as value-added services, to the market. This news is expected to generate interest among investors and stakeholders in the agri-tech sector, highlighting the growing demand for innovative solutions to address the challenges faced by farmers and the agriculture industry as a whole.

Gurugram-based agri-tech startup Barton Breeze has raised $800,000 in a pre-series funding round from a group of new investors. The round was backed by prominent investors including Rajeev Bairathi, Neeraj Kumar, Manish Agarwal, Umang Agarwal, Shishir Poddar, and two others. This marks the first investment for the five-year-old company and will be used to introduce innovative products and value-added offerings to the market. 

With the infusion of funding, Barton Breeze aims to achieve its mission of making delicious and nutritious food more accessible and affordable to all customers while upholding its commitment to environment-driven development and sustainable agricultural practices.

Barton Breeze is gearing up for growth in the upcoming year by expanding its fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) range with 20 new SKUs and further expanding its farms in the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR). Shivendra Singh (CEO) founded Barton Breeze in 2018, with Gaurav Rai Chawla (COO) and Dicson Diclause (CMO) later joining the team. The company’s farming and product experts are committed to reducing the use of chemicals in produce while delivering nutrient-rich foods at reasonable prices straight to consumers’ doorsteps.

Barton Breeze’s CEO, Shivendra Singh, emphasizes the importance of having a passion for entrepreneurship, as sustainable agriculture requires hard work that benefits both people and land. The company utilizes an end-to-end approach, from farm development to packaging and product delivery, to offer more than 40 crop varieties grown hydroponically for commercial sale. 

Barton Breeze also provides value-added products such as Ready to Eat Salad boxes, dips, and oils that meet their high standards for freshness and nutrition. These products are available online and in over 100 retail stores across Delhi NCR.
