Poe, Quora’s latest AI chatbot app, is now available to the entire public

Quora, a social question-and-answer site has made its new AI product “Poe” available to the public, allowing users to ask questions, receive quick responses, and participate in back-and-forth discourse with AI chatbots.

Poe (Platform for Open Exploration) was initially accessible on iOS, but the business has stated that it would add support for all major platforms, as well as more bots, in the coming months.

Poe works similarly to a text messaging software, except that users may speak with AI models individually.

Its chat interface includes a range of conversation subjects and uses cases, such as “writing help”, “cooking,”, “problem-solving”, and “nature”.

According to the business, the AI on Poe is presently driven by OpenAI and Anthropic models.

“We foresee a large number of models available in the near future. Different models will be optimized for different tasks, they will represent different points of view, or they will have access to different knowledge,” said Quora in a blogpost.

“Quora has 400 million monthly unique visitors and we’ll be making it easy for all of them to use Poe and to see the best content created on Poe,” it added.

The Q&A platform also revealed that they are working on an Application Programming Interface that would allow any AI developer to easily plug their model into Poe.
