Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Jan Samarth Portal, a national portal for credit-linked government initiatives, on Monday. Jan Samarth is a one-stop digital platform that connects many government credit initiatives. It’s a first-of-its-kind platform that links lenders and beneficiaries directly.
The major goal of the Jan Samarth site is to promote inclusive growth and development across many sectors by directing and supplying them with the appropriate government benefits via simple and straightforward digital processes. The gateway guarantees that all related initiatives are covered from beginning to end.
Prime Minister Modi stated that in the past, the country has borne the weight of government-centric governance. However, in the twenty-first century, India is going forward with a people-centred government strategy. He previously stated that it was the people’s obligation to go to the government to take advantage of the programmes. The focus now is on bringing governance to the people and freeing them from the rigmarole of visiting several ministries and websites.

The launch of the Jan Samarth Portal, a national portal for credit-linked government initiatives, is a huge step in the right direction. Students, farmers, businesses, and MSME entrepreneurs would benefit from this platform, which will assist them in fulfilling their aspirations, he further added.
PM Modi also unveiled a new set of coins in the denominations of Rs 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10, and Rs 20. The subject of these unique coins will be the AKAM logo, and they will be easily recognisable by visually challenged people. The coins in the values of Re 1, Rs 2, 5, 10, and 20 with the AKAM design are not commemorative and will be circulated.
