Physics Wallah Launches PW Institute of Innovation, Introducing a Four-Year Programme in Computer Science and AI

Edtech unicorn Physics Wallah (PW) has unveiled the PW Institute of Innovation (PW IOI), introducing a four-year fully residential programme in computer science and AI. The institute’s Bengaluru campus will accommodate the inaugural batch of 150 learners, with classes commencing on September 27.

The decision to establish PW IOI came after recognizing a significant challenge faced by individuals despite completing degrees such as BTech, BSc, MCA, or pursuing higher education for four to five years. Many still struggle to acquire the relevant skills required to secure jobs in the ever-evolving tech industry. To address this gap between academia and industry demands, PW Skills CEO Sudhanshu Kumar said, “We decided to expand our offerings to create a skill-building programme from scratch, empowering individuals to enter the job market with confidence and efficiency.”

The four-year programme at PW IOI encompasses foundational topics, software engineering, AI applications, real-world internships, and hands-on experience through a capstone project. Students will be immersed in the industry environment, acquiring practical skills in programming languages, data science, cloud computing, deep learning, and big data analytics.

Additionally, PW IOI will offer personalized 1:1 mentorship from tech leaders such as Sudhanshu Kumar, Vishwa Mohan, Krish Naik, Souranshu Paul, Anurag Tiwari, and others with industry experience from companies like LinkedIn, Walmart, PayPal, and Oracle. Learners will also have the opportunity to engage with experts from Meta, Amazon, Apple, Netflix, Google, and Microsoft through quarterly sessions.

The programme aims to provide an optional degree equivalent to a Bachelor (Hons) in Data Science and AI from premium institutes. The total fee for the four-year programme, including admission, tuition, hostel, mess, and the degree, amounts to approximately Rs 15 lakh. Scholarships ranging from 20% to 100% of the tuition fee will be offered to 25% of the students based on specific criteria, including JEE Main percentile, class 12th and 10th percentages, and family income.

PhysicsWallah, with its PW Skills unit, endeavors to empower professionals with employable and effective skills for the rapidly evolving job market. The acquisition of iNeuron Intelligence Private Limited in December 2022 expanded its range of tech-based upskilling offerings.
