Peak XV Partners Selects 14 Startups for 10th Surge Cohort

Peak XV Partners’ rapid scale-up program, Surge, has launched its tenth cohort, featuring 14 promising early-stage startups. The selected startups span various sectors, marking another milestone in Surge’s journey to nurture the next generation of entrepreneurs.

This cohort comes after the successful launch of Surge 9 earlier in 2023, which included 32 founders from 13 startups. Over the course of 10 cohorts, Surge has now grown to support more than 350 founders and over 150 startups, spread across 17 sectors.

The startups selected for Surge 10 include Amaani, Ambak, Auquan, Brainfish, Clout Kitchen, Dezy, Dubbing Ai, OrbitShift, Parseable, SalarySe, Tailcall, The Health Factory, Wobot, and a stealth company in the specialty healthcare space. Notably, Amaani is the first company from the Middle East to be included in the Surge program.

As part of the Surge initiative, each startup will receive up to $3 million in seed funding, along with extensive support from Surge’s investment and operating teams. The program is designed to help founders with key areas of their businesses, including hiring, product development, technology, and marketing.

In addition to funding, the program offers perks worth over $2 million. These include cloud storage, marketing tools, software, services, and much more, providing founders with a well-rounded toolkit for scaling their businesses.

“Founders participating in Surge will receive up to $3 million in seed funding per startup, along with comprehensive support and a dedicated partnership from both the Surge investment team and operating team. This includes assistance with hiring, product development, technology, and marketing,” Surge stated.

Surge also offers one-on-one mentorship from global founders and industry experts. This personalized guidance helps startups not only to dominate their local markets but also to build businesses with the potential for global reach.

“Each participating company will also receive one-on-one mentorship from global founders and operators, making Surge a launchpad for startups looking to dominate their home markets and, in many cases, build global businesses,” added the program’s statement.

The Surge 10 program will run from October 2024 to February 2025, combining in-person and online sessions. Key focus areas will include founder development, go-to-market strategies, product and sales refinement, brand building, and more.
