Ola Electric allocates $100mn in battery cell R&D


Ola Electric unveiled Ola Futurefoundry, a worldwide hub for cutting-edge engineering and vehicle design. The headquarters of this centre will be in Coventry, the UK, a global hub for the top engineers and designers in the automotive industry. The design and engineering teams stationed at the Ola Campus in Bangalore, India will collaborate with Ola Futurefoundry.

Global talent in a variety of fields, including 2W and 4W vehicle design, advanced high-performance automotive engineering, digital & physical modelling, and more, will be housed there. Additionally, it will contain experts who will concentrate on developing new energy systems for vehicles, such as cell technologies.

Over the next five years, Ola will invest over $100 million in the centre and hire over 200 designers and automotive engineers to work there. The centre will also collaborate on technological research and development with top-tier educational and research institutions in the UK.
