NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) has reported a 78% year-over-year increase in revenue, reaching $39.3 billion for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2025, driven by soaring demand for AI chips and data centre expansion. The Santa Clara-based semiconductor giant attributed much of this growth to the widespread adoption of its Blackwell GPU architecture, which is rapidly becoming a cornerstone of AI infrastructure worldwide.
NVIDIA’s data centre revenue surged 93% year-over-year to $35.6 billion, reflecting the increasing reliance of enterprises on high-performance AI computing. Blackwell GPUs contributed $11 billion quarterly revenue, underscoring their rapid integration across generative AI and machine learning applications.
Net income soared to $22.1 billion, up from $12.3 billion in the same period last year. Meanwhile, full-year revenue hit $130.5 billion, marking an impressive 114% annual increase.
CEO Jensen Huang emphasised the significance of NVIDIA’s role in AI advancements, stating, “AI is advancing at light speed as agentic AI and physical AI set the stage for the next wave of industry transformation.”
Looking ahead, NVIDIA projects Q1 FY26 revenue of approximately $43 billion, reflecting continued strong demand for AI computing power. The company also announced its participation in the $500 billion Stargate Project, further solidifying its dominance in high-performance computing and AI-driven innovation.
NVIDIA continues to expand its footprint across multiple industries. Recent collaborations with IQVIA, Illumina, Mayo Clinic, and Arc Institute aim to accelerate breakthroughs in genomics, drug discovery, and healthcare innovation. However, NVIDIA’s gaming revenue declined to $2.5 billion, a 22% drop from the previous quarter and an 11% decline year-over-year, reflecting shifting market dynamics.
NVIDIA’s GPUs now power over 75% of the world’s most powerful supercomputers, reinforcing its leadership in AI infrastructure. The company also announced opening its first R&D centre in Vietnam, signalling further global expansion.
Shares of NVIDIA rose 4% following the earnings report, continuing their strong upward trajectory in 2025. As AI adoption accelerates, NVIDIA remains at the forefront of an industry revolution reshaping technology, automation, and enterprise computing worldwide.
