Deep Tech start-up NeuralGarage raises $1.45 million in a seed round led by Exfinity Ventures.
Subhashish Saha, Anjan Banerjee, Subhabrata Debnath, and senior media and entertainment executive Mandar Natekar founded NeuralGarage, which is now developing the ground-breaking “VisualDub™” solution to empower content producers everywhere in the world.
RAAY Global (Amit Patni Family Office), Vishal Agarwal, Raj Kulasingam, Anand Singh (Elios & Nexus Global Fund), Sarath Sura (Sunn91 Ventures), Sachin Jain, Narendra Soni (ex-KPMG), and Kejal Shah were among the angel investors who participated in the seed round (ex Avendus PE). By investing in talent in R&D, engineering, and product, NeuralGarage will be able to expand its capabilities with the money raised in the seed round.
NeuralGarage will minimise the visual dissonance and loss of realism produced by dubbing due to the lack of audio-visual sync, allowing a seamless export of language and culture. Content is dubbed in various languages to appeal to more viewers globally.
The co-founder and CEO of NeuralGarage, Mandar Natekar, commented on this cutting-edge technology and the business opportunity, saying, “Our proprietary technology VisualDubä intends to make non-native content native, assist content creators and long format platforms in localising content, make dubbed content look realistic, and provide a pleasurable experience for viewers. We observe that content platforms and studios, ad agencies, broadcasting networks, edutech platforms, and producers of L&D content are all adopting this technology on a global scale. VisualDubä will undoubtedly generate intrinsic value and continue to grow given the nature of the technology and the rapidly expanding content ecosystem. “Exfinity is looking at Computer Vision + Video to tackle a wide variety of use cases as an investment thesis. We have already made a few investments in this area in the past. The amount of video being consumed is skyrocketing. Additionally, content transcends all boundaries, including those caused by language, culture, and nationality. With its VisualDub product, Neural Garage has created a whole new and disruptive technology to provide viewers with a never-before-seen experience. The team has a great reputation, and we are excited to work with them. Shailesh Ghorpade, the company’s founding managing partner, was also mentioned. “Given the recent advances in AI, it is essential that it play a significant role in the years to come by boosting and stimulating content development, delivery, and consumption everywhere. NeuralGarage is dedicated to making a positive impact in this area and fostering a closer relationship between producers and consumers. Co-founder and CTO of NeuralGarage, Subhabrata Debnath, remarked. As opposed to dubbing, “our first product VisualDubä syncs lip and jaw movements of any person in a video by using only audio as a driver, adding more visual realism. In addition to giving viewers a better experience and better comprehension, it enables creators to reach a larger audience pool with little effort, he said.
