The trade organisation for the Indian technology industry, NASSCOM, has partnered with Invest Alberta to extend its Launchpad program in Canada, with a presence now established in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and the city of Brampton.

According to a statement by NASSCOM, this program is a component of the organisation’s ongoing partnership with the Canadian government, which aims to foster collaboration between the technology ecosystems of India and Canada and promote foreign direct investment in technology.

The program offers various benefits, such as rent-free office space for up to six months, customised services to help with government regulations, stakeholder engagement, and site selection for setting up permanent operations in the region. This initiative is anticipated to enable Indian technology firms to enter and expand in the North American market.

Shivendra Singh, Vice President of NASSCOM, stated that “this initiative would reduce initial costs and improve credibility, providing companies with a greater chance to enter the market more quickly”. He further added that “this collaboration is advantageous for all stakeholders, as companies benefit from a soft landing while creating high-value jobs within the local community”.
