Myntra Launches ‘Rising STARS’ Program to Empower D2C Fashion and Lifestyle Brands


Myntra, a leading fashion e-commerce platform, has introduced the ‘Myntra Rising STARS’ program with the aim of strengthening the direct-to-consumer (D2C) ecosystem in India. The program is set to onboard 200 digital-first, made-in-India fashion, footwear, home, and accessories brands within the next four months. It will provide comprehensive support services to accelerate the growth of these brands.

The Myntra Rising STARS Program is designed to benefit both established and emerging D2C brands by focusing on brand and intent building, optimizing business costs, and enhancing customer acquisition. Participating brands will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into evolving trends and preferences, while gaining access to Myntra’s vast customer base across the country.

The program offers several key features to onboarded brands. Firstly, brands can opt for service-fee-based strategic account management consultation, gaining access to insights, advisories, and Myntra’s expertise in brand-building. Secondly, brands will have access to account management services that enable a segment-based incentive structure, capital support, repayment cycles, and M-Express services to enhance the overall customer experience. Lastly, the Rising STARS program provides brands with a discovery experience through increased visibility, building awareness, expanding reach, acquiring new customers, and fostering higher engagement and consideration. Brands will be able to communicate their unique stories and persona in an engaging way, reinforcing their individual brand identities.

Sharon Pais, Chief Business Officer at Myntra, highlighted the importance of D2C brands in shaping the fashion industry’s growth in India. She stated, “The launch of Myntra Rising STARS program will give a boost to 200 digital-first made-in-India brands and put them on an accelerated growth path. The program will enable millions of our customers to have access to their differentiated offerings while enjoying Myntra’s experience across discovery, shopping, and delivery.”

India boasts the world’s third-largest digital purchasing base, and the online shopper base is expected to reach 400-450 million by 2027, with the fashion D2C market estimated to reach $43.2 billion in India by 2025. The Myntra Rising STARS program aims to drive the growth of these brands by capitalizing on this vast potential.
