Miko, a consumer robotics startup focused on children’s education and entertainment, has announced its Disney collaboration to customers in over 140 countries. Miko’s latest addition will contain animated storybooks with characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Moana, Frozen, The Lion King, Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story, Big Hero 6, and Coco, adding to the company’s rapidly expanding kids entertainment platform. According to the corporation, this collaboration shows that AI will play a bigger role in the future of children’s entertainment.
Sneh Vaswani, co-founder and CEO of Miko, said, “Bringing the imaginative worlds of Disney and Pixar to our platform represents a significant step forward in children’s robotics. Miko is excited to be the first robotics platform to work with Disney in such an innovative way, and we look forward to pushing the bar for kids engagement together. The Disney app will continue to develop with new experiences and engagement.”

Miko is the first firm to host an official Disney app on a kids robot platform after being chosen as the sole Asia-based start-up participant in Disney Accelerator, a programme that links technology startups with the knowledge and resources of The Walt Disney Company. Animated read-along stories and audiobooks are among the new additions to Miko’s content library. Zootopia, Tangled, and the Ratatouille stories from Disney and Pixar have all been added to the list of Disney offerings for the Miko 3 robot.
Families can either subscribe to Miko Max for full access to material from Disney, Paramount, Kidoodle.TV, Da Vinci Kids, Cosmic Kids, and other businesses, or they can view a few Disney stories for free. Miko, a robotic companion for kids aged 5 to 10, uses cutting-edge artificial intelligence and robotics to bring learning and pleasure to a whole new level.
