MangoPoint Raises INR 3.5 Cr Led by The Chennai Angels

MangoPoint, distinguished as the inaugural APEDA- and NPPO-approved packhouse in Tamil Nadu, secured INR 3.5 Crores in funding. The Chennai Angels spearheaded this round, alongside the Nativelead Angel Network and Keiretsu Forum.
Established in 2018 by the visionary couple Manjula Gandhi Rooban and Prasanna Venkatarathnam, MangoPoint specializes in exporting premium-grade, carbide-free, and chemical-free fresh mangoes and mango products to Europe and North America. The infusion of funds aims to expand farmgate infrastructure, bolster scalability, accelerate growth, and globally showcase India’s superior mangoes and their derivatives.
“Our commitment at MangoPoint lies in constructing an eco-conscious mango value chain encompassing sustainable farming, eco-friendly processing, and responsible packaging,” expressed Manjula Gandhi Rooban, Co-Founder of MangoPoint. “This investment will amplify our ability to consistently deliver top-notch mangoes and products globally, upholding stringent quality standards.”
Balakrishnan Ranganathan, CMD of Excelencia iTech Consulting and Lead Investor from The Chennai Angels, stressed MangoPoint’s mission’s significance. “As India contributes substantially to global mango production, MangoPoint’s emphasis on quality and natural ripening aligns well with global demand,” affirmed Ranganathan.
The funding accentuates investors’ confidence in MangoPoint’s dedication to quality and sustainability, aligning with evolving dynamics in the agricultural landscape. This backing amplifies the company’s vision to elevate India’s mangoes onto the global platform.
