Serial entrepreneur Luke Coutinho and prominent investor Narendra Firodia have jointly invested $1 million in You Care Lifestyle (YCL), a third-party verification platform dedicated to ensuring the authenticity and quality of food, skincare, and other health and wellness products.
YCL, which bridges the gap between consumer expectations and the authenticity of products, is committed to verifying ingredients, quality, and labelling of health-related goods. A portion of the investment will be allocated towards strengthening the platform’s verification and authentication processes to ensure that only the highest standards are met. Additionally, the funding will help YCL scale its operations and support emerging clean brands by enabling them to meet stringent verification standards, thereby gaining consumer confidence.
By the end of 2025, You Care Lifestyle plans to test and verify approximately 90 to 100 brands across the food and cosmetic sectors. The company aims to significantly impact an industry rife with mislabeling and misinformation significantly, promoting ethical consumerism and encouraging brands to adhere to transparency in their marketing.
YCL was co-founded by Luke Coutinho and Narendra Firodia. Coutinho, who has built a successful career in holistic health, is also the founder of Luke Coutinho Holistic Healing Systems and Lifeness Science Institute. He has also co-founded GoQii, a well-known health-tech startup. Firodia, known for his expertise in entrepreneurship and investment, has a diverse portfolio spanning telecom, healthcare, hospitality, and real estate. He has been instrumental in steering multiple startups, particularly in tier 2 and 3 cities across India.
Commenting on the venture, Luke Coutinho, the Founder of You Care Lifestyle, said, “India’s consumer landscape is rapidly evolving, and with that comes a responsibility to ensure people have access to genuinely clean and high-quality products. With YCL, we’re focused on creating a reliable third-party verification system that bridges the gap between authenticity and consumer trust. Our mission is not just to invest in a business, but in a movement that empowers consumers to make informed choices, ensuring that clean commerce is the future.”
Narendra Firodia, Co-founder of YCL, commented “Building an honest food chain is not just about setting high standards; it’s about supporting the brands that uphold them. At YCL, we’re committed to identifying and investing in businesses that share our vision of transparency, integrity, and quality. We are excited to shape the future of the wellness industry in India and beyond.”
