CEO of Eruditus backs KheloMore, a sports technology platform

Khelomore, a digital sports platform, has raised an undisclosed sum of money with the help of Ashwin Damera, co-founder and CEO of the unicorn edtech company Eruditus. Damera Ventures, his family business, made the investment.

Khelomore is a digital sports platform that was established in 2017 by former Indian cricketer Jatin Paranjape. Its app connects young sports enthusiasts, trainers, and academics online. The platform aids parents in examining their child’s entry into the world of basketball, badminton, football, cricket, and other sports.

-Khelomore asserts that its app enables users to study and enjoy sports by connecting them to more than 5,000 pay-and-play locations for sports including basketball, badminton, football, cricket, and more. The company claims to have a distinctive concept for placing coaches in gated communities to provide young and aspiring athletes with expert coaching. Khelomore not only connects coaches and academies with young athletes, but it also offers event organizers a platform called Khelomatch. With the help of its platform, numerous sports clubs, schools, and tournament organizers may easily publish their match schedules, fixtures, team lineups, photos, and match reports, as well as handle all the backend and digital work.

Dream11, the gaming unicorn, had previously invested in Khelomore in 2021. With a $250 million corpus, Dream Sports, the parent company of Dream11, debuted Dream Capital, its venture capital, merger, and acquisition arm, in August. Rario, IMBR, Elevar, Fittr, and SoStronk are among the ten startups that make up Dream Capital’s initial portfolio, the company claims. Through this family office, Damera invested $32 million in venture debt company InnoVen Capital in April. Rhapsody Education, PING Digital, and Rubanbridge are all part of its portfolio.
