With the participation of current investor Ideaspring Capital, Karomi Technology, a leading packaging management SaaS platform (operating under the name ManageArtworks) that digitises the design to print process and shortens the time to shelf, has raised USD $2M in a Pre-Series A round led by Cornerstone Venture Partners Fund (CSVP Fund). The business will utilise the funds to hasten its expansion.
ManageArtworks, an end-to-end packaging artwork management solution created by Vilva Natarajan in Chennai, enables businesses in highly regulated sectors like pharmaceuticals and consumer packaged goods to expand more quickly while maintaining regulatory compliance. With this exclusive product, Karomi hopes to change the package content and specification management industry.

Vilva Natarajan, CEO of Karomi said, “For enterprises of all sizes worldwide, managing materials, requirements, and artwork is a big task. Inconsistent packaging data are to blame for the majority of packaging artwork revisions. Even in 2022, packaging content problems will account for 58% of artwork revisions. The current situation calls for centralised packaging data management solutions. Future-proof intelligent solutions that let businesses customise their package experiences are what we’re working on now, and we’re glad to say that many of them are industry firsts. This money will also allow us to penetrate the US and European markets more deeply.”
In addition to strengthening its position in France, the firm will use the cash to expand into Europe and the US markets. Karomi wants to develop tech and data solutions that are first in the industry, including the use of AI and ML to improve the design of visuals. The business, which has been growing in a promising manner over the past several years, wants to expand to be the biggest package artwork and data management solution globally.
