JSW Ventures Leads ₹40 Cr Investment Round in Villa Rental Platform Stayvista

Stayvista, India’s leading villa rental platform, has raised ₹40 crore in a funding round led by JSW Ventures, with participation from existing investors DSG Consumer Partners and Capri Global Family Office.

The Mumbai-based company plans to use the fresh capital to drive expansion, strengthen its team, and enhance the overall customer experience. The development marks a significant milestone for Stayvista, which has now crossed 1,000 luxury properties across 85 locations in India and has served over 1 million customers to date.

JSW Ventures’ Managing Partner Sachin Tagra highlighted that Stayvista is well-positioned to leverage the rising consumer preference for alternative accommodations over traditional hotel stays. “This is a capital-efficient business that aligns with evolving travel trends,” he noted.

Founded by Pranav Maheshwari, Stayvista has reportedly achieved profitability and aims to become the largest platform for alternative accommodations in India, with a sharp focus on the luxury villa segment. “We are committed to shaping Stayvista into India’s biggest villa hospitality brand and the go-to destination for travellers seeking unique, premium stays,” Maheshwari said.

Stayvista operates on a unique model, listing second homes owned by individuals. This creates a win-win dynamic for both homeowners and guests, unlocking underutilized assets while catering to India’s growing base of leisure travellers.

The vacation rental market in India, estimated at $22.3 billion, is witnessing steady growth and is expected to touch $34.1 billion by 2029, riding on increased disposable incomes and the flexibility of hybrid and remote work models.

JSW Ventures, the early-stage venture capital arm of the JSW Group, has made several successful investments in tech-led consumer platforms across healthtech, agritech, fintech, and AI-driven SaaS businesses. The fund’s latest backing of Stayvista reaffirms its thesis in scalable, tech-powered platforms reshaping traditional industries.
