ISB Launches New ‘PGP YL’ Programme for Fresh Graduates and Early Career Professionals

The Indian School of Business (ISB), renowned for setting new standards in management education since its founding in 2001, has announced the launch of the PGP YL (Post Graduate Programme in Management for Young Leaders), a 20-month full-time residential programme aimed at high-potential graduates and professionals with up to two years of work experience. This MBA-equivalent programme is set to commence in mid-2025.

The PGP YL is designed to address the growing need for business professionals who can thrive in today’s rapidly evolving business environment, driven by technological advancements and data-driven decision-making. The programme offers a blend of foundational business education with advanced courses in technology, data, and analytics, along with a global perspective. The aim is to transform students into innovative problem-solvers ready for the challenges of modern business.

Given the limited work experience of its target students, the PGP YL integrates significant experiential learning components. This includes a Business Design Lab and an Innovation Lab. Additionally, a mandatory two-month summer internship will provide students with practical exposure to real-world business environments. The programme will be taught by a combination of ISB’s distinguished faculty and visiting professors from top international business schools.

Professor Madan Pillutla, Dean of ISB, spoke about the new programme, saying, “Since our inception in 2001, ISB has been imparting world-class management education to create leaders for India and the world. Our many conversations with industry leaders and recruiters reveal a need for young professionals who can step straight into roles that require business acumen alongside deep expertise in data and technology. In line with these requirements, we have designed the PGP YL programme for fresh graduates and entry level professionals to transform them into exceptional problem solvers and innovators at the workplace.”

Admissions for the PGP YL programme will be based on a valid GMAT, GRE, or CAT score, in addition to academic excellence and any work experience. Applicants will be required to submit essays as part of their application, and shortlisted candidates will undergo a personal interview with a panel that includes industry leaders, academicians, and ISB alumni.

The fee for the 2025-27 academic year has been set at INR 21,65,000 + GST, with an additional INR 3,95,000 for accommodation. Scholarships will be awarded to 40-50% of the class, based on merit and merit-cum-need criteria. Exceptional candidates may be eligible for up to 100% tuition waiver through merit scholarships.

ISB’s PGP YL programme aims to foster a new generation of business leaders equipped with the skills to navigate the complexities of the modern business landscape, making them highly sought after by employers globally.
