Jugadu Kamlesh, a contestant from Season 1 of Shark Tank India, showcased his innovative idea for solving farmers’ problems through a pesticide spraying machine he had been developing for seven years. This idea garnered significant attention from both judges and viewers, due to its uniqueness and potential impact on the agriculture industry.
Peyush Bansal, the founder of Lenskart, showed his support for Jugaadu Kamlesh’s cause on Shark Tank India, investing ₹10 lakh for a 40% equity stake in his company KG Agrotech and also providing a ₹20 lakh no-interest loan. A recent update from Bansal has revealed the progress of Kamlesh Nanasaheb Ghumare, and his innovation for the agriculture industry.
Peyush Bansal took to his social media platform to update his followers on the progress of KG Agrotech’s pesticide equipment, which now features several new enhancements. Following his investment in Jugaadu Kamlesh’s business over a year ago, Bansal noted that many people have been inquiring about Kamlesh and his entrepreneurial journey.
Peyush Bansal has shared a major update on the progress of KG Agrotech, Jugaadu Kamlesh’s startup, via his LinkedIn account. He expressed his joy in announcing that the company has now become a private limited firm and unveiled their latest innovation, the Bharat-K2 equipment. Despite the challenges of extensive research, travel, failures, and iterations, the team persevered and succeeded in creating a product ready for market. According to Bansal, the first batch of saleable carts will be available within the next 60 days. This second version represents a significant upgrade from the original equipment that was presented during the Shark Tank India pitch. The team is now preparing for production.
In his post, Bansal expressed gratitude to several individuals who played a vital role in assisting KG Agrotech to achieve its current level of success. These individuals included Sambhav Rakyan, a close friend, Nidhi Mittal Bansal, Banal’s wife, and Udit A Bhattacharya, an industrial product designer who contributed to the professionalization of the design aspect.
Additionally, Banal acknowledged Lenskart Academy, a renowned training school, for providing Kamlesh and Naru with opportunities to gain exposure to the city plus business environment, as well as for imparting essential skills in team building, leadership, communication, and customer experience.
