Indore-Based Startup Select Brands Raises INR 6.5 Crore in Pre-Series A Funding to Fuel Growth


Select Brands, an Indore-based startup founded by brothers Agam Choudhary and Saksham Jain in 2022, has successfully raised INR 6.5 crore in Pre-Series A.

Spearheaded by lead investor Agra Gwalior Pathways and Airen Holdings, with participation from Amit Kumat from Prataap Snacks, Rajesh Patel from Apricot Foods, Sawan Laddha form workie, We founder circle (WFC), IVY League Ventures and JITO, with financial assistance facilitated by Colonel Consultancy.

Select Brands, with a vision to become an umbrella brand for multiple Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) brands, plans to utilize the funding to drive brand growth and expand into new categories.

Agam Choudhary, Co-founder of Select Brands, expressed, “Basically, we are entering multiple categories by launching new brands and focusing on the growth of existing ones. Approximately 70% of the capital will be invested in existing sub-brand growth, which is Kyari, while around 30% will be allocated to new sub-brands.”

The funding received not only provides financial support but also enhances the credibility of Select Brands in the eyes of consumers and potential employees.

“External capital infusion validates our business and strengthens our position in the market. Moreover, having investors who are experienced founders brings valuable insights to the table, aiding in the formulation of effective business strategies,” commented Agam Choudhary, Co-founder of Select Brands.

Select Brands’ journey began with the launch of Kyari in April 2022, a D2C brand offering home-grown plants. With multiple plant varieties catering to different needs and spaces, Kyari quickly gained traction among plant enthusiasts.”We’ve experienced rapid growth since our inception, and with this funding, we aim to scale it even further,” stated Agam Choudhary.”

Our goal is to achieve 50 crores in sales in the next fiscal year (FY-24-25) by focusing on expanding our product portfolio, and introducing two new brands under the Select Brands umbrella.”
